For this easy DIY for kids, I will show them how to make ornaments out of salt dough in the shapes of a Christmas tree, snowflake, snowman and snowflake. I will take them step-by-step through the salt dough recipe. It’s super simple and a fun activity for kids!
This art and craft is ideal for children ages 5 and older with adult supervision. It takes about 3 hours to complete.
For the salt dough recipe, you will need measuring cups, cookie cutters, a rolling pin, skewers, a tablespoon, vegetable oil, flour, salt, wax paper, a bowl, a baking sheet and a cutting board.
To decorate the ornaments, you will need paintbrushes, paint, fabric, glitter, stickers and a paper plate. To hang them on the Christmas tree, you will want to use string and paper clips.
