Sink or Float? | Easy Science for Kids

Does an egg sink or float in salt water? What does it do in fresh water? Find out by doing this awesome science experiment!

This simple science experiment teaches kids about density, and is ideal for children ages 4 and older with adult supervision. It takes about 10 minutes to complete. For this project, you will need two eggs, salt, measuring spoons and two glasses filled a quarter of the way full with water.
